Yoshihiro Tanaka - President

Yoshihiro Tanaka is President of FuuUn & Rivals, Ltd., and is in charge of overall strategy and operations. Since 2001, while holding his positions in FuuUn & Rivals, Ltd., he has founded nearly 10 companies/organizations and kept management positions in them.

His strength to business is regulatory and entrepreneurial activities, and his input from this strength to clients and principal projects are highly evaluated.

Prior to 2001, he has worked in the Japanese telecommunications regulator, currently the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), and the U.S. telecommunications regulator, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). He is well known not only as a leading lobbyist in the telecommunications and IT fields, but also as a strong proponent and creator of the lobbying industry. He is also well known for his unique career, from bureaucrat to entrepreneur, and taught entrepreneurship in colleges.

He was born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and Tokyo. In the past, he was an avid cyclist.

He received a Bachelor and a Master of Engineering degrees in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the University of Tokyo in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Babson College in 2001 where he concentrated on entrepreneurship, finance and technology.
