Yoshihiro Tanaka - President and Representative Director

Yoshihiro Tanaka is President and Representative Director of FuuUn & Rivals, Ltd., and is in charge of overall strategy and operations in FuuUn & Rivals, Ltd.

Moreover, he is a policy and regulation professional focused on telecommunications, technology innovation and government relations.
His strength to business ranges from regulatory to entrepreneurial activities, and his input from this strength to clients is highly evaluated.

Prior to 2001 when he founded FuuUn & Rivals, Ltd., he had worked in the Japanese telecommunications regulator, currently the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), and the U.S. telecommunications regulator, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). He is known not only as a leading lobbyist in the telecommunications and IT fields, but also as a strong proponent and creator of the lobbying industry. He is also well known for his unique career, from bureaucrat to entrepreneur, and taught entrepreneurship classes in colleges.

He was born in Tokyo, Japan and raised in Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and Tokyo. In the past, he was an avid cyclist.

He received a Bachelor and a Master of Engineering degrees in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the University of Tokyo, respectively. He also received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Babson College where he concentrated on entrepreneurship, finance and technology.
